Kwe` Friends,
On behalf of the Wije’winen Gala, I extend my deepest and most sincere gratitude for your remarkable support and presence at the 2025 Gala. Your participation helped create an evening that was not only elegant and inspiring, but truly meaningful in its impact.
The Gala itself holds great importance; it is more than a celebration. It is a gathering of shared vision, a space where relationships are strengthened, and where collective commitments turn into real, measurable impact. It is through evenings like this that we are able to move our work forward in meaningful ways.
Because of you, the night was a powerful expression of community, connection, and purpose. Your generosity, friendship, and partnership continue to open doors, create opportunities, and strengthen the foundation for lasting change. Without strong relationships and trusted partnerships, much of the work we are doing would not be possible. Your support is not only valued - it is essential.
As we look ahead, we are filled with excitement and anticipation for what is to come.
We warmly invite you to join us once again for this year’s Wije’winen Gala, where we will continue to honour these connections, celebrate progress, and carry this work forward together. This year promises to be an unforgettable evening, one that reflects not only what we have built, but where we are going, together.
It will be our absolute pleasure to welcome you all back.
We look forward to seeing you on October 3rd, 2026, ready to celebrate, connect, and continue this journey with us.
In Friendship,
Pamela Glode-Desrochers
About
The Kjipuktuk Wije'winen Gala is the Mi'kmaw Native Friendship Centre’s signature annual fundraising event and celebration of Indigenous culture, resilience, and community leadership.
“Wije'winen” means “come with us” - an invitation for partners, allies, and community members to walk alongside the Friendship Centre in supporting transformative programs that uplift Indigenous families in urban Mi'kma'ki.
Guests will enjoy a three-course dinner, live entertainment, guest speakers, networking opportunities, and a silent auction throughout the evening.
Funds raised directly support MNFC programs that address urgent needs while building long-term pathways to wellness, belonging, and self-determination, including the development of the new Friendship Centre build.
