Celebrate our shared journey with powerful Indigenous voices and transformative music.

Honouring 1725: A Gala of Peace, Friendship, and Reconciliation

To celebrate this historic 300-year milestone, the Mi’kmaw Native Friendship Centre is proud to host the first Wije’winen Kjipuktuk Gala. This event will honor the Centre’s rich culture and hopeful future.

Join us on October 4th, 2025, to mark this important moment for Indigenous and non-Indigenous people across Mi’kma’ki and Turtle Island.

About the Gala

Our Story

In 1725, the inaugural Peace and Friendship Treaty was signed, establishing a new vision for coexistence in Mi’kma’ki and beyond. This year’s Kjipuktuk Gala invites us to gather in that spirit — to listen, learn, and celebrate. Together, we honour past and future through music, story, and community.
